Kevyn S. Johnson, CEO of Osmium, specializes in commercial and investment real estate, having worked on numerous relocation and investment projects for international firms and retail businesses in Central Tokyo. Prior to his development at Osmium Kevyn spent four years in SME office design and fit-out and is co-chair of the Architecture, Construction and Real Estate (ACRE) committee for the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ACCJ).
An 22 year veteran of Tokyo, bilingual and bicultural, Kevyn is a graduate of UCLA. Kevyn is married with two children and has also written two handbooks on English language use, and continues to write in his spare time.
Hideaki Fukushima joined as an Advisory Partner in 2017. He is the registered real-estate transaction manager and is experienced in real estate contract and documentation. Hideaki brings 20 years of experience in the real estate business and mainly handles purchase and sales, development, research, and appraisal.
Hideaki is a native of Aomori prefecture and received his bachelors in Tokai University where he has also received a black belt in Taido a type of martial arts.
Murray Gilbert is the CFO of the team. He is responsible for developing financial models and comparing property investment scenarios. Previously, Mr. Gilbert has served in various financial and service firms in Tokyo including Capital Servicing - a real estate advisory and investment firm as well as ValueCommerce, and General Electric where he was responsible for building and supporting financial models and IT systems.
A Japanese/English bilingual Murray has been living and working in Japan for over 15 years. Prior to coming to Japan, he worked for an Australian software house with local and international clients. He completed his Bachelor of Science in computer science at Macquarie University. Murray is married with one child.
Takashi Norris (Tak) has been in the real estate business in Tokyo since 1998. First founding a company in 2000, involved in commercial and residential real estate leasing and acquisition and disposition. Between 2000 - 2010, Tak was involved in over 50 Billion JPY worth of property transactions. In addition to working with onshore clients and investors, Tak has also advised and completed acquisitions of properties in Japan for overseas investors in the United States, Europe and Asia. Currently an advisory partner to Osmium since 2016 Tak is living in Europe, FInland developing a platform vis-a-vis, Europe and Japan, as well as the US and Japan.
Tak is bicultural and bilingual and is a native of New York City, graduating from The Dalton School and Colgate University. Tak is married with four children and interests are reading, bicycling, fishing and martial arts.
